About me

Hello, I'm Esfandiar – an enthusiastic and experienced Innovation & Research Engineer with a passion for unraveling the intricacies of how things work, how they fit together, and how they are manufactured. My journey in the world of engineering has been one of constant exploration and a relentless pursuit of knowledge and innovation.

Studies

I embarked on my academic endeavours with a Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Birmingham, which laid the foundation for my deep interest in leveraging technology for the betterment of human lives. My curiosity and thirst for learning then led me to pursue studies in Mechanical Engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology.

Industry

Throughout my career, I have developed significant expertise and made notable contributions in the automotive industry. I have had the privilege of working with iconic car companies, engaging in the design and development of award-winning innovative seating systems. My involvement in the automotive sector has allowed me to explore various facets of engineering design, including ergonomics, safety, and user experience.

Teaching

As a Lecturer (HPL) in Automotive Engineering at Kingston University, I bring my real-world experiences and knowledge to the classroom. I teach courses in Automotive, Motorsport, Mechanical Engineering, and Advanced Product Design Engineering & Manufacturing. My research interests are intricately tied to the automotive field, as I explore the application of Artificial Intelligence and signal processing in the development of Driver Monitoring Systems and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
